Want to know the impact Rev Up SC can have for you? Check out what last year’s Cohort Winner has to say!

As an introvert, interviewing, networking, and applying to jobs was a terrifying prospect for me as I started my senior year of college. My college's Career and Professional Development office advertised the Rev Up SC program and suggested that juniors and seniors apply. So, I applied and lo and behold I got accepted. As I started the program, I was skeptical that the program would be beneficial to me. However, as the program progressed I learned many valuable skills and was able to practice the skills we were learning in real world scenarios, which was very beneficial. I have left this program significantly more prepared for the workforce than I started. Thank you to Brittany and Jackie, the employer sponsors, and SCACE for making this program such a success, I am very grateful! - Jeanette H., Presbyterian College, 2023 Cohort Winner

Hear from another 2023 Cohort Winner about

his experience with the Rev Up SC Program:

The Rev Up SC program provides you with invaluable early career development. You learn how to navigate the massive landscape that is an early career. How to take your identity, your character, your passions, and form them into a brand that you can present to companies that you are interested in. Going into this program, I was fairly confident in my resume and LinkedIn, and admittedly wondered what value I was going to get from the experience. In retrospect, the answer to that question is- From refining my elevator pitch, my interviewing skills, my professional identity, how to navigate difficult scenarios, how to analyze the job market and prospective companies, and many, many more early career skills and knowledge. Certain assignments put a mirror in front of you, that provide you with valuable insights about yourself and your preferences that you will be very happy you discovered. I, for the longest time, had no idea what I wanted to do with myself and my career. This way, you’re much more likely to end up in companies, fields, and roles that you are happy in :). This program gives you a massive leg-up in ever-competitive job markets and will jumpstart your professional development, giving you solid foundations and mental frameworks that you can build on during your career. - Dobson D., College of Charleston, 2023 Cohort Winner
