Who is eligible to apply for Rev Up SC?

  • Students pursuing an Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree

  • All Majors

  • Preference is given to students who have completed at least one year of credit hours for an Associate degree and at least two years of credit hours for a Bachelor’s degree

  • Preference is given to students with a 3.0 or higher (A GPA below 3.0 DOES NOT make you ineligible for consideration)

  • Attending a South Carolina College or University

What is timeline of the Rev Up SC 2025 Program?

What is the time commitment?

  • Time commitment = up to 30 minutes per week

  • Most curriculum/activities are delivered via video and email so that you have the flexibility to complete lessons on your own schedule

Where does the program meet?

We will meet via Zoom as a cohort for special employer-sponsored events and/or group learning a few times throughout the course of the program (dates and times will be provided in advance so that you can plan to attend accordingly)

What does the program curriculum include?

Curriculum includes six Rev Up units:

1. Orientation

2. Reputation

3. Express Yourself

4. Your Value

5. Use Your Network

6. Professional Job Search Toolkit

What’s the cost of the program?

  • The program is NO COST for students across the state of South Carolina, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors: SCACE, BMW Plant Spartanburg, and The Rez Rev!

So, if I am accepted into the program, am I guaranteed an internship at BMW Plant Spartanburg?

We are so happy to have BMW Plant Spartanburg as a sponsor of the Rev Up SC 2025 Program! Participation in the Rev Up SC Program helps get you fast-tracked consideration for internships or career opportunities at BMW Plant Spartanburg, as members of their talent team will serve as mentors and supporters throughout the Program’s duration. However, participation in the Rev Up SC Program does not guarantee you an offer for an internship or other opportunity at BMW Plant Spartanburg.

To be considered for an internship or career opportunity with BMW Plant Spartanburg you must meet the following criteria, and apply on the company’s official website at any time during the Rev Up SC Program:

  • Interest in an internship or career opportunity with BMW Plant Spartanburg

  • Preference is given to students with a 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Interest in the following career opportunities: Engineering, Manufacturing Support, Quality Management, Logistics, Procurement, Information Technology, Human Resources, Communications, Finance, Controlling.

  • Three semesters of coursework related to your degree should be completed by the time your internship or work at BMW Plant Spartanburg begins

  • Students must have at least one more semester remaining before graduation to be eligible for the internship or Co-op

*Note: You do not have to meet all of the above criteria to be considered for the Rev Up SC Program.

How are students selected?

We have a review and selection committee, consisting of SCACE Board Members, program instructors, and BMW Plant Spartanburg Talent Team members that reviews each application and assesses responses based on a standardized rubric. Student responses are selected based on program eligibility requirements, and thoughtfulness of responses.
